Some photographs are created because a client has a vision, and some are created because I have had an idea living rent-free in my head for far too long. Welcome to my photography bucket list: a collection of concepts, stories, locations, and little pieces of cinema that I would absolutely love to bring to life. From nostalgic movie moments to dreamy fantasy worlds, these are the ideas that have me imagining every little detail before I have even picked up my camera.
As a photographer in Sudbury, Ontario, I love the idea of creating photographs that feel like they belong in a movie. Think Nora teaching Tyler how to dance in Step Up, the iconic cabin and water scenes from Dirty Dancing, a paint fight inspired by 10 Things I Hate About You, or the beautifully chaotic romance of True Romance. Some ideas are inspired by the movies I grew up loving, while others come from music, fashion, fantasy, and the occasional idea that refuses to leave my brain alone. I want to create images that feel like a story unfolding, not just another photograph.
My bucket list also includes a few concepts that are a little more whimsical, dramatic, or out of this world. Picture a mermaid shipwreck, a romantic movie theatre engagement, a fantasy-inspired ACOTAR and fae session, Malibu Barbie and Ken, or a Betty and Veronica-inspired shoot. I would also love to explore the aesthetics of Sabrina Carpenter and bring the dance-filled nostalgia of Save the Last Dance to life. Every concept has its own personality, and I would love to find the right people who are just as excited about the vision as I am.
Here is where you come in. If any of these ideas sound like something you would love to be part of, I offer discounted creative rates for bucket-list sessions because these are concepts I am genuinely excited to create. You do not need to have every detail figured out, just an interest in bringing something a little different to life. If you have been looking for a Sudbury photographer who loves creative concepts, cinematic storytelling, and photographs with a little more imagination, this might be your sign. Reach out through my contact form, tell me which idea caught your eye, and let’s make a little movie magic.
